This is a fun enough book. At it's core it's the story of a bunch of characters that for a list of reasons, some legal, and some not-so-legal, all end up on a gambling cruise ship headed out into a tropical storm.

It's a comedy book, but despite being a comedy book by Dave Barry, it's not going to have you cracking up from start to finish. That said, it really is very funny. At no point does Barry take the plot too seriously, and the result is a book that pokes fun at the human condition from start to finish.

For what it's worth, I listened to the audio version of this book, and Dick Hill's narration job was nearly perfect. Most of the audio books I've listened to are narrated very well, but I'd imagine reading a comedy book like this a bit more difficult than most. Hill nailed it though, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.
