In the first twenty minutes or so of the movie, we're given the basic plot gimmick (the wives are being brainwashed!), the rest is a series of cheap jokes and it leaves you wondering when it'll end. There's a cute little plot, but it makes you scratch your head at the end, as it devolves from something that's almost believable to completely hacked and seemingly put together just to get a movie made.

Again, I haven't seen the original, but somehow I suspect this falls into the very large category of movies that don't need to be remade.
