Haunted Author: Chuck Palahniuk Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: October 8, 2005 (by Scott) Scott's Review: on October 8, 2005 I'm really not sure why I bothered to finish this book. It's a collection of short stories weaved together with a ludicrous main story. The short stories all share one point and one point alone: to gross you out. There's nothing redeeming about them, no bigger plot that makes them interesting, or any compelling reason to read them other than if you want to gross yourself out. As I was reading through, I guess I felt some need to find out if Palahniuk would redeem himself somehow with some good plot, interesting character development, or perhaps using a new word I didn't know of. Sadly, none of that came to pass. There's no reason to read this book. -- Scott and Michelle |
