on September 17, 2005I've haven't seen the movie this one is based on, so I popped in the DVD without any real expectations of what this movie would have in store for me.
At its heart, this seemed to be a movie about brainwashing and the human spirit. I say it seemed to be, because I got quite lost in the plot of the nonsense political wrangling going on. The standard evil villains are present (corporations, etc), and there's nothing really interesting or new to this movie.
