Okay, I had really low hopes for this movie. I haven't actually enjoyed the Garfield comic strip in some time, and what little I saw of the movie in clips didn't suggest they were going much beyond the humor level in the comics.

I was right. The movie is a series of silly one liners coupled together by a plot that feels like it came out of a plot-creation-machine. Its mindless drivel with a cute CGI character tossed on top. The only saving grace is Bill Murray voicing the title character. He comes as close as any voice on a cartoon ever has to what Garfield sounds like in my head. It worked amazingly well. That said, the voice of a character isn't really enough to keep up a movie.

In the end, I'm just amazed I made it all the way through to the end of the movie.
