Having watched the movie that's based on this book quite a while ago, I can safely say that the movie and book have very little in common. While the same basic plot line is the same, very little else is. The story in to the book takes months to unfold, and is less about the action, and more about the slow waking of Bourne and his struggle to come to terms with what he is. It's more of a human psychology story with some action thrown in, where as the movie was more of an action movie with some of the human issues thrown in for flavor.

It's a great story, very well told that keeps your interest throughout the entire telling.
