I finally saw the second movie. Or rather, I saw the second half to one movie. There's just the smallest of an attempt at the movie to remind you of what happened in the last movie. If you haven't seen Vol. 1, you'll be completely lost.

Okay, gripe about the nature of the film aside, it's still a bad movie. Unlike the first movie, this one flowed very slowly. Much more time was spent building up characters, enough that we even have to endure a kung-fu style back story segment. The first movie seemed to throw constant violence our way to keep our attention. This one seemed to try and actually tell a story, but take the occasional break to give us some needless violence. Like the artistic style, the story couldn't make up its mind what kind of story it wanted to me.

Even the end wasn't really that great. By the end of the movie you realize there are only a handful of plot lines left open, so you begin piecing together how the movie will end before it actually ends. Other than a sense of closure from the first movie, this one doesn't really offer anything.
