Secret Window is one of the four stories in Stephen King's Four Past Midnight compilation. I've read that compilation, as I remember the The Langoliers quite vividly, but I don't remember reading this story at all.

That said, I felt the movie was terribly predictable. I might very well have remembered the story on some level, but nothing in this movie surprised me, and nothing in this movie really kept my interest for long. I can't speak to how much of that problem is the movie itself, and how much is King's story not bearing repetition. In the end, I don't much care, I was bored.

I'm not saying it was bad, and maybe if you haven't read and forgotten the story years ago, you might very well enjoy it. I, on the other hand, watched a very well acted movie about a twisted human psyche that, but without any twists or intrigue that could keep my interest.
