Antitrust Release Year: 2001 Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: August 8, 2004 (by Scott) (DVD version) Scott's Review: on August 8, 2004 Once again, I've got to wonder who some movies are directed at. With Antitrust we have a movie basically about the evil corporation Microsoft. Okay, it's called Nurv in the movie, and suggested it's a competitor to Microsoft, but still, the movie is about Microsoft. With that for a basic plot, you'd imagine the movie is directed towards hard core geeks. Personally, as a geek, I found it less than likeable. It tried too hard to be realistic, all the while presenting a completely unrealistic plot. When it was done throwing somewhat realistic sounding technobabble at us, it resorted to throwing completely over the top plot elements at us. Oh, and the acting was horrible. I was laughing out loud at this moving within five minutes, not at misused technology, but at the wooden acting. There's really nothing redeeming about this movie. If you find it on TV, for free, and there's nothing else on, do yourself a favor and go for a walk or something. -- Scott and Michelle |
