What happens when you take a good short story and try to stretch it into a full length motion picture? Paycheck explores that quandary, and the results are less than stellar.

The basic plot is this: A guy reverse engineers technology and after he's done with a job has his mind erased. He accepts a huge job, and after he has his mind erased, finds out instead of a big payment, all he's left with is a bag of random artifacts that seem to lead him to what happened.

What I've managed to sum up in a couple of sentences the movie took about two hours to do. It seemed to stall every now and then, and near the end it felt as if the writers were ran out of ways to kick start the plot, so they threw in lots of fun CGI.
