Peter Pan Release Year: 2003 Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: June 29, 2004 (by Scott) (DVD version) Scott's Review: on June 29, 2004 The whimsical tale of Peter Pan is wonderfully told in this book. Most of the other movies telling of Peter Pan seem to latch on to some sort of Disney-esque boy who never grew up and show us all of the trappings of Peter Pan still somehow managing to miss the points of the story. This version is really true to the book as I remember it, and beautifully told. The movie itself looks almost as if it's torn from a story book. The actors for the various parts are extremely well picked. Wendy, especially, very well conveys the whole loss-of-innocence theme that Peter Pan is all about. I really recommend this movie, if for no other reason than to offset the Disney portrayal of Peter Pan. -- Scott and Michelle |
