I didn't have many hopes for this movie, but what few hopes I had were destroyed by the time I finished watching it. I never read any of the Daredevil comics growing up, but nevertheless, he's an interesting character. The movie, however, managed to take what few interesting qualities there might have been about the character and destroy them making a formulaic super-hero movie.

It was actually laughably bad at times. The dialog often seemed insulting, especially the voice-over explanations by Affleck which didn't really serve to further the plot. Then there was the complete lack of chemistry. For instance, the scene when Daredevil first meets Elektra was bizarre. It was like they both phoned in the whole martial arts sequence, and none of their scenes from there really improved any.

Oh, and speaking of Martial arts sequences, I think this movie deliberately tried to have little spoofs of pretty much every famous scene from the Matrix. It was just silly.

All and all, it was just a silly pointless movie that had almost no redeeming qualities. I just noticed there's a rumor that the same director will be doing a spin-off based off of Elektra's character. I can hardly wait.
