Koyaanisqatsi isn't like your classic movie. It's more a work of art. It's very pretty, and the sound track is good. Beyond that, it's really difficult to describe. There's no dialog and no plot. It's just a series of images and some music.

Koyaanisqatsi itself means "life out of balance", and the movie seems to be an attempt to show the world through some unique points of view. A lot of the movie uses time lapse photography, and given the time it was released, is really breath taking. Unfortunately, I think it's lost a bit with time, as much of the footage looks similar to stock footage you see used in ads and the like today. Nevertheless, if you like Fantasia, and thought 2001 had too much dialog, you'll like this. If you like lots of action, or movies that explain themselves, you should pass this one up.
