on March 10, 2003This is an interesting adaptation of The Odyssey by Homer. All of the main, at least those that I remember from reading the story a while ago, are there.
It's really an interesting movie, watching these three men on their odyssey. It's strangely compelling to watch. The movie itself is good, and shot in a very cinematic and interesting style.
That said, I'm not sure what the point was. Other than a modern retailing of Homer's classic story, there wasn't really much to this movie that made me glad I watched it when it was over. It's a good movie to watch, but I'm not sure I have any desire to watch it again.
