That said, the story served almost no purpose. A good story starts at the beginning of an interesting or pivotal point in a character's life and leaves us when the issue is resolved. The movie technically fulfilled that requirement, but it managed to drag out the issue of Spacey's character adapting to his new life and confronting his past. The end result is a good movie, but at the end, you don't feel like you've watched a complete movie, you're missing that sense of accomplishment that a truly good movie achieves.
