If ever there was a cookie-cutter film, this is it.

If it didn't have Arnold Schwarzenegger staring in it, I doubt there would be anything of any interest in the movie. It's a fun ride if you take it for a silly action movie, but the serious elements of it are rather forced.

One man, after losing his wife and kid to a terrorist bombing goes on a quest to kill the terrorist that hurt him when the government gives up. Complete with "you're no better than the terrorist", "the terrorist is who you least expect", and "the lone government guy willing to help" elements, this movie feels like a script left over from any number of other Schwarzenegger films.

This movie was delayed because of it's similarities to the events of 9/11 (The main character is a fire fighter fighting against terrorists). While I can understand the desire to delay it because of those events, I wonder if part of the reason it was delayed is because it's so bad.
