It's very refreshing to see a movie from Disney that isn't some classic story rehashed.

That said, there's nothing really exceptionally interesting in this movie plot-wise. It's just a fun little flick with enough humor in it to keep things interesting.

Lilo is the classic broken family child who adopts Stitch. Stitch is a fun character, though too much of the movie, in my opinion, was setting up how he's an evil psycho. That aside, this movie does have some great lines, especially when Lilo explains to some other girls what's wrong with her doll.

I'd recommend renting it just to watch it, but don't go out of your way to see it, as it's good, but not great. Oh, if you do rent it on DVD, make sure to watch the trailers for the movie, they're rather humorous jabs at other Disney titles.
