on September 20, 2002This movie reminded me quite a bit of The Thomas Crown Affair. It's has a very similar feel to it when they're pulling of the main robberies of the movie. That aside, however, it's not quite as good. Basically, it's the story of a nex-con forced out retirement to perform one last heist. It's a simple enough story, with good acting and seemingly good characters.
It tries too hard, though. By the end of the movie, you may not know exactly where the plots going to go, but you know there are going to be plot twists, and a lot of them. Oh, and lots of witty one lines thrown around. I felt the movie was desperate to keep my attention for the last quarter. It didn't really succeed.
