It's a silly and stupid plot though. Basically, a guy ends up fighting an alternative universe version of himself bent on killing all of the other versions of himself there are out there in the "metaverse" to become the strongest person alive.

Typed out it looks better than it actually is. It's basically an excuse to use The Matrix style special effects in fight scenes, with an added twist: Jet Li spends most of the movie fighting himself.

The fight sequences were good, but in the end pointless. It's just a ridiculous excuse for one over-the-top fight sequence after the other. Cumulating in the ending, which looked like it could have been out of Mortal Kombat or some such.
