This is definatly a guy movie. Though, it was enjoyable. I didn't think it was too goofy, even though it sort of was. Bad guy is typical got-it-all-figured-out type guy. The end tries to trick you into thinking something else is going to happen, but you pretty much see it coming.

Living with a computer "geek", it's impossible to watch a movie with computers in it without learning what is true and what isn't. This movie certainly had all the hacker terms, but apparantly didn't use any of them correctly. No surprise since the majority of the audience isn't going to be made up of people who will know the difference. Which is good, cause if you do, it will probably bother you.

The bus scene was pretty neat though I have to admit. Even though there's was little new with it, just the idea of taking a bus and flying it through a city is a pretty funky idea. The behind the scenes segment about it is more fascinating I think then the actual movie though. Allthough I will say that the cinematograpy was pretty good as far as that goes.

This is a fun ride, but not much more. It's basically the story of a "patriotic terrorist", and his latest plan to gather large amounts of money.

It's interesting to watch this movie after September 11th. The basic story would probably be rather painful to some people, and there are some scenes during the climax of the movie that would probably be especially hard to watch. I'm normally one to think this sort of thing goes too far, but I can understand if this movie was pulled after the attacks.

Political comment aside, this movie had some really interesting story elements. The back-to-front story style was well done. Not as intense as Memento, or Pulp Fiction, it was still good to watch, and they didn't drill in any plot points by repeating themselves. They also had some incredible special effects, culminating with a bus flying from a helicopter.

The technical jargon in it was less than impressive. But, they didn't really spend enough time on tech to bother me that much, which is quite impressive in and of its self.

What's left, though, was rather of a let down. In the end, it was a shell for a good movie, but there was just something missing to really make you care that much what happened, and how it ended. For once, I agree with the outtakes, that the ending they chose was the best of the endings they scripted, but it still left some intangible quality behind that really made the movie suffer.
