This movie wants to be Ghostbusters so badly. But it just doesn't reach it's goal. Not that it's a bad movie, but it's not necessarily a good, or even funny movie either. It has it's moments, but they are few. The cast just doesn't seem to click well together. the story is pretty thin, and up to the very end it follows the same faint plotline of Ghostbusters. Just not as well.

In the end it's one of those kind of movies you plop $8.50 for to kill a couple of hours. It's neither good nor bad, you won't go recommending it to friends, nor will you stear people away from it, it's just a movie that you put in on a saturday night to kill a couple hours too.

Evolution is really just a poorly done Ghost Busters.

The plot is similar in just about every respect possible: A small semi-violent force appears, only to grow and grow. The good guys are thought to be crazy, till the evil force has grown to insane proportions, when they have to save the day with an unbelievable series of events.

Throw in one of the worst fart joke ever (and bad in the sense it's not funny), and you've got Evolution.

It's just an attempt to recreate the magic that Ghost Busters was, and it fails miserably. There are a few laughs in the movie, but by no where enough to make it a worthwhile watch.
