I was really blown away by this movie. It's a very complex story, but if I had to boil it down, it's essentially the tale of a warrior's quest to save nature. I'm not sure that makes a lot of sense, but the story was very complicated. There were warring factions, back stabbing, and above all, a mystical element with the spirit of the forest.

The animation was mediocre at times, and at times it was truly a thing of beauty. I was really pulled into the story line, and while I had trouble following some of it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This movie has a lot of replay potential. I look forward to watching it again someday, and seeing what else I can get out of it. I highly recommend it, it wasn't like any anime fare I've seen before, but it had a lot of similarities to the plot behind the final book of the Ender's Game saga (at least in my mind), and it felt very much like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which I also thoroughly enjoyed.
