Hero of the Empire, A Author: Robert Silverberg Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: October 7, 2001 (by Scott) (Audible version) Scott's Review: on October 7, 2001 This is an interesting story. Set in the time of the Greeks and Romans, I felt it did a good job of portraying society back then. Unfortunately, that's really about all it did. The plot felt rather hollow and uninteresting, and the ending was all too predictable. And I think I got the point the author wanted us to know that homosexuality was commonplace back then, he only drove it in any chance he could. In the end, it was an interesting read, but not all that enjoyable. -- Scott and Michelle |
