I enjoyed this movie. As a woman, I found many of the things women think realistic. and I was glad that there wasn't a bunch of "my butt is too big" or "i'm too fat" phrases coming from them all the time. I think there could have been a reference to it, because we think that all the time! but in the end, it's probably better it was left out. Hay, we don't want hollywood to give away ALL our thoughts now do we?

Helen Hunt is amazing. I enjoy her more and more with every movie I see her in. Mel Gibson is also fantastic as usual. He has such a great sense of humor and natural charm to him that it's hard ot not like the guy. Plus, he's gorgeous, so that also helps. I hated that his character smoked though, I always hate that in movies. Just always makes me like the character so much less, but then, I imagine that was the point.

Best Scene?

Probably Mel Gibson's dance scene. It wasn't the funniest scene in the movie, and wasn't supposed to be, but it was charming, and I thought it was done really well. It's my favorite scene anyway.

This is actually a cute movie. The geek in me has a nasty tendency to over-analyze comedies that have even a small bit of science fiction in them. I managed to avoid that problem with this movie completely.

The story is a bit overly cute at times, but it's a rather touching story about a man's man beginning to understand the other sex done well. Mel Gibson, and all of his quirks, seems to be a perfect fit for this role. While it was by no means a blockbuster, I'd say it's worth watching when you're in the mood for a good romantic comedy.
