Ender's Game Author: Orson Scott Card Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: July 22, 2001 (by Scott) (Audible version) Scott's Review: on July 22, 2001 This was one of the most compelling books I've read in a long time. It's goes into a bit more detail on the "Games" than I would generally have liked, but that aside, it's difficult to stop reading this book. The story is basically about a future society, involved in a galactic war. There are some details on the future sciences, but not much, which makes it all the more compelling. The story doesn't get caught up in techonobabble, but deals with human emotions and reactions to war. The vantage point of a child being forced into the middle of all of this is even more compelling. I highly recommend this book. -- Scott and Michelle |
