Nevertheless, I don't think it was that great. Over time there have been a lot of spin-offs of the original Shaft movie, and I'm have a feeling this one might get lost in the crowd. It struck me as a very average cop story. For something that was advertised as having a bad-cop fighting evil in his own way it sure didn't feel like that. Actually, almost every sequence I saw in the teasers for the movie felt rather out of place in the movie itself.

In the end, it was mildly entertaining cop movie on it's own, but nothing terribly special.
