This is a really good comedy. It's not quite as good as Toy Story, in my opinion, but it's good nevertheless.

Basically, it takes every fairy story you've told, and turns it on it's head. The humor in this movie works much the same as the humor in Toy Story did, good stuff for both young and old audiences, and the basic premise is just twisted enough that the older audience will enjoy it.

It's a fun story, and great use of the computer graphics, since they are really creating a new world to tell the story in.

I can't say that this movie was better then Toy Story. But it was a fun little flick. It's ultimatly a love story. Which I usually enjoy. But I was really expecting more of the fairy tale angle to it. Instead, there was some fun little references in the beginning of the film, and that was prettymuch it.

I found Eddie Murphy (as the donkey) for the most part, unfunny. And Shrek's voice just didn't fit in my opinion. But those quabbles aside, I thought the overall story was fun, and it definatly had it's hilarious moments, and I did laugh out loud at a few of them.
