If you've seen Days of Thunder, and the Rocky movies, and always wished for something worse, much worse, then you'll love Driven.

There were some neat crashes and a fun racing scene through the city, but otherwise, this movie is as pointless as it gets. The characters are so thin their transparent, and I kept wondering who was who. The movie is nothing but a long music video. I don't think there's a second in it where there isn't music playing. I *hate* that. There's zero character development, and a crash scene (the water one) takes the movie to a new low that you didn't even think was possible.

If I coudl drive this movie, i'd crash it, if it didn't do such a good job of doing so itself.

I'm not sure where I read it, but one review I read of this movie summed it up like this:

This is a movie for, by, and about people with attention deficit disorder.

That pretty much sums up my feelings on this. Imagine an MTV video, only movie length, and with cool racing special effects. I'm giving this movie one and half stars, only because I think the racing scenes should serve as examples of how to implement F-1 racing video games.

Despite trying, at the end of the movie, I still hadn't had a clue which character was which, which love interest story got resolved, and frankly, I didn't care that much. Some of the action scenes were laughably silly. In short, I just don't get this movie. I guess I'm too critical these days to just enjoy a guy movie, which this defiantly is.
