I love Harrison Ford. Let's just get that out of the way right off. I have a hard time saying he has ever been in a bad movie. And, What Lies Beneath isn't a bad movie either, in fact, for the scary movie genere, it's rather well done and intelligent. But as with many Hollywood movies, the ending turns out to be less then the rest of the movie. I don't knwo why Hollywood enjoys ruining movies so much. So many start out good and end with some idiotic climax that just ruins the previous 90 minutes. But that said, the movie is still well done. It's hard to go into details about it without giving away the ending, so since I don't want to do that since it's such a pivitol plot point, i'll just say, I enjoyed it all the way until about the last 20 minutes. I'm assumming you will too.

I can sum up my review of this movie in one word: Blah.

The movie itself was very visually appealing. Some of the camera and CGI tricks pulled off in this movie are truly spectacular.

That aside, it's an incredibly boring picture. Any time you watch a movie and spend the entire flick trying to figure out how the camera rig works, instead of how the plot works, I've got to think the movie is a failure.

I won't even bother talking about the plot itself, because, quite frankly, I can't remember it. There was something about the ghost of a murdered lover, or something like that. The camera work, however, is a lot more fun to watch.
