Well wasn't this one a surprise. I remember the series of books for The Green Mile that came out a few years ago. I never thought it that interesting, mostly cause it's Stephen King, and the last Stephen King book I read was Pet Semetary years ago. But The Green Mile, isn't typical Stephen King horror. It's actually a great story, and it made for an incredible movie. The story is such that it walks a fine line and could easily spill over into just plain silly if pulled off wrong, but the movie never did so, it kept it real, and intriguing, and I cared about the characters, (most of them anyway ;-). The movie is a bit long at 3+ hours, but it really didn't feel that way. I usually get restless watching movies of that length, but not this time. I was held through the entire 3 hours. Quite a movie, I highly recommend it. Moves like this don't come along that often.

Wow, this was the first really good movie that I've seen in quite a while. I'm not going to attempt to summarize the plot, because I fear any attempt to do so would overly trivialize it, and make it seem silly. Suffice it to say, this is a classic Steven King story about a paranormal event, and how it touches the lives of several people.

Very good movie, I highly recommend it.
