on July 17, 2000Y'know, as far as teen comedies go, this was actually pretty funnie. It's getting strange for me to sit down and watch a movie for the "teen crowd" these days, being that i've finally hit my 30's it almost feels like i'm too old, but still, I can identify with some of the things, cause really, high school doesn't feel like it was *that* long ago, and I still remember many of the traumas highschool gave me like it happened yesterday. There are some good scenes in this move that will make you simultaniously gross out, and laugh, the bathroom scene for example, and the infamous pie scene, and of course, the parent "sex" talks. (Thank god webcam's weren't around when I was in school) We all had some awkward moment that we will never forget in our years in school, and this movie, while maybe a bit on the extreme side of things, will take you back to those traumatic times nicely.

on July 22, 2000Watching this movie just managed to bring back some bad memories from high school for me. There were actually some rather funny bits, but in the end, I felt that the movie was a bit too lowbrow for my tastes.
I think it's best summed up as this movie is an R rated movie (and they had to cut scenes to get it to that point) for teenagers. I didn't fit in the target demographic, and watching the movie made that painfully obvious.
