Red Voodoo Artist: Sammy Hagar Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: July 10, 2000 (by Michelle) Michelle's Review: on July 10, 2000 Outside of the fact he stole the riff for "Mas Tequlia", from Gary Glitter's "Rock and roll part 2" and if you can get past the over-the-top commercialization of his Cabo Wabo Tequila all over this album, then you will probably like this one. It's a fun album, definatly party material, and that's what he was going for. Songs like "Mas Tequila" and "Shag" are typical Sammy Hagar fluff. Not that that necessarily means bad, it's just typical rock and roll ear candy in true Sammy style. Some have had a problem with some of the lyrics in "Sympathy for the Human" and I say, big flippin' deal. It's rock and roll people, relax ;-) -- Scott and Michelle |
