For many years Eddie said he didn't see the point of putting out a live album. His reasoning escapes me at the moment, but nevertheless, he said it. I had always thought a live album from the band would be great, but to be totally honest, I would have preferred one with Dave. But of course, that didn't happen. So instead, we got a VH live album with Sammy. I have much the same feelings about this album as I do about F.U.C.K. Probably because most of the songs on "Right here, Right now", are from F.U.C.K. I feel sort of indifferent about it. It doesn't get me all excited, and neither did the tour, so maybe that's just the bad taste that has never left me. As far as live albums go, this is okay, I mean it's Van Halen, so it isn't horrible, but I just feel this record really lacks the energy of the band live, but even that must have been impossible to catch on this tour because I saw it, and the energy just wasn't there to begin with. So I don't know, If you like Van Halen, you will like this album, but they have just ignored their past for so long with Sam, that maybe it had turned me a little bitter toward the live stuff from his era. *shrug*
