It seemed to be a very refreshing story, done with a modern animation style. The cell cartoon cell over CGI approach to animation actually does look very good, with the exception of some fancy camera work the CGI was able to keep up with, but the cartoonist had trouble with. The story itself was a bit tough to follow, at times it felt as if there was a contest amongst several script writers, and some bits and pieces got left in just to settle conflicts. Otherwise, though, very well done, and if you can get over the cheesiness of the ending, a very powerful movie. Hopefully this movie will do well, and encourage more of the anime style of animation to come out of American shops. -- Scott and Michelle
