Sleepy Hollow Release Year: 1999 Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: May 31, 2000 (by Scott) (DVD version) Scott's Review: on May 31, 2000 Tim Burton defiantly has a style that's all his own. This movie was a treat to watch, if only for that style. I'm not sure it had a lot of merit otherwise though. The story is predictable (despite the fact I had never actually read it), and plays itself out like I expected it to. And, if that wasn't enough, about three-quarters through the movie, the protagonist explains the entire movie in excruciating detail. Otherwise, it's a fun watch, if for nothing else than the feeling that I'm watching Edward Scissor Hands, or Batman, again. -- Scott and Michelle
