Thomas Crown Affair, The Release Year: 1999 Average Rating: Last Reviewed On: March 18, 2000 (by Scott) (DVD version) Scott's Review: on March 18, 2000 The Thomas Crown Affair is a remake of a movie with the same name made 30 years ago. It doesn't really suffer at all from feeling old though. As the commentary on the DVD discusses, they've changed the movie considerably to update it. In the end, I felt the movie was a lot like Entrapment, only done much better. Throughout much of the movie it feels as is one quick take after another, but somehow done in such a way as to keep me interested, and not feeling rushed as other movies that do this technique tend to. And, the finale makes the ride very much worth it. -- Scott and Michelle
