on March 8, 2000In the beginning this is a standard tale of love across all bounds, and how it can redeem and repair souls. It's actually a very predictable tale, for the most part. It's only saving grace is the chemistry between Kevin Costner and Robin Wright. For a while you really want them to work it out and live happily ever after. Then the second half of the movie hits, and I was left looking at my watch, wondering when it will end. And, as if an attempt to recapture my interest, the movie abruptly ends, and leaves you wondering what its point was. The little narration at the end doesn't help at all.
I'm willing to admit that this might just be a chick flick that I don't get, but in the end I just didn't care for it too much.
