Not only was it shorter than I expected, but it seemed that almost a tenth of the book was an excerpt from the next book. The author managed to use the Next Generation for the sole point of making the enemy more disgusting, and setting up the necessary plot elements to use the cast from Deep Space Nine, and Voyager in future books. I found the teaser for the next book more fun to read than this one. For continuity's sake, it's worth the read, though only grudgingly so. -- Scott and Michelle
