Sadly, our Halloween pal commited suicide in the middle of the night. I guess he just couldn't see the point in continuing on. So rest in peace Frank, you'll be missed, for at least a few minutes..

Heeere's Frank!

Meet Frank. He's the headless pumpkin man we made this year. I started building him around Thursday, so he's been sitting downstairs in the garage for almost a week in various incarnations. It's strange how creepy a headless body can be even without it's pumpkin head. Everytime i'd walk into the garage and had forgot about Frank, i'd freak myself out a bit.

So it's been a long, scary week. ;-)

Attack of the Leaves!

Our house is surrounded by trees. So it's pretty amazing around here in the fall. But when the wind picks up, like it did this weekend, leaves go everywhere. This is our second year in the house, but it seems like there are way more leaves then last year. You can hardly even see the yard or the driveway anymore! Maybe it's just years of living in apartments, but I think it's pretty cool, so I went out and shot some footage. Though to be honest, the video really doesn't quite capture how many leaves there really are. You kind of have to see it with your own eyes.
