Please Watch This.When I posted the Van Halen reunion news earlier, I honestly thought that would be the most incredible thing I would post today. But then Michael J. Fox went on CBS news, and it was like watching my grandpa all over again. Please, please watch the video. And strongly consider where you stand on the issue of stem cell research. Just ask yourself what is really more important, people who are here and suffering? Or some microscopic cells.
This morning I walk out onto our upper deck patio, and notice a half-eaten apple just sitting there on the railing. Since no one had been out there in a while (unless strangers have been climbing up to half-eat apples on our deck) I found it strange. I have to assume that it's the squirrels again. What's interesting is that the apple trees aren't really near the deck, so he'd have to have taken the apple, which is easily half it's body size, carry it up another tree onto it's branches, jump to another tree, and another, and another to eventually leap, apple in mouth, a couple feet across to our deck and land successfully on the wet and slippery narrow railing all without falling or dropping the apple. I like to imagine him trying multiple times before finally getting it there successfully. Like a determined Scrat and his acorn from Ice Age.
