Van Halen and.. ..Kenny Chesney?!

So Eddie and Alex Van Halen popped themselves out of hibernation for a day to join Kenny Chesney onstage to play a couple VH tunes!. The audio quality of the video is very distorted, probably shot with a cell phone, but nonetheless, it's really cool to see Eddie out and about and on stage again. But what's with all the country stuff lately? DLR is on a bluegrass album, Sammy's new album has a country feel, and now Eddie and Alex are playing with Kenny Chesney? Eh, whatever.. as long as they're playing.

Superman Returns

Scott and I sat down and watched Superman I and II this weekend (no, we didn't watch the travesties that are III and IV) in preparation for Superman's big return in a couple weeks. I love those movies, and they were fun to watch again. Though they feel pretty dated now, and probably even moreso once "Returns" comes out. The effects are very obvious, and the outfits and some of the dialogue is really stuck in the 70's, but as a whole, the movies still hold up I think. Christopher Reeve will always be Superman to me, and while Brandon Routh may look the part, (if not a little too young looking) he has huge red boots to fill. But, I'm really looking forward to the new movie, the clips i've seen of it so far look really good, and I knew from the moment Kevin Spacey was cast that he would be a great Lex Luthor. So here's hoping!
